Is the official count we had at ZWD!! (Unfortunately not everyone was able to register, we’ll fix that next year) Never fear, the record remains ours for the taking…NEXT YEAR!!

ZWD remains the biggest Zombie Walk ever in the U.S…but in 2011 we take over the world…

For all of your enthusiasm toward this event and charity to make this happen. For speaking with your actions and not just your words, thank you. For everyone that has gone out of their way to ensure that Crissy and I could have fun with this so that YOU can have fun, much thanks. To all the business owners and their employees for being cool as all get out, and not making us feel like Jo-Jo the idiot circus boy with a pretty new pet about this crawl, THANK YOU!

Thank you all for caring enough to donate your time and resources to help us make this a possibility. (Crissy and I are only two people and we could have easily gotten in way in over our heads. Although even if we are, I don’t feel that way as I’m writing this…so thanks for saving us some anxiety as well) I’ve been fortunate to have met some SUPREMELY awesome folk in the past few months that have gone on absolutely NOTHING but our word that we are trying to do something fun and positive, and those people are you.

My parent’s never let me go trick-or-treating when I was a kid…so thanks for letting me get some payback

 Is ZWD associated with previous Zombie Walks in Dallas?
NO. We are just two people that wanted to make an AWESOME Zombie Crawl.

Is ZWD only two hours long?
Absolutely NOT!! This is DEEP ELLUM people, Zombies can stay downtown and hang out as long as they please. There are art galleries, restaurants, bars, HAUNTED HOUSES and plenty of music venues. It will still be Deep Ellum…just “deader”.

Can I bring my kids to ZWD?
Does a bear sh*t in the woods? Of course you can! As long as everyone is respectful of each other there is no reason why little Zombie kiddo’s can’t enjoy the fun.

If you PLAN ON TAKING THE DART -which is highly recommended- exit at COMMERCE and GOOD LATIMER!!! Zombies can then proceed to crawl toward Deep Ellum!! There is no “route”. We are not paraders, We are Zombies. Feel free to shamble around anywhere you wish!

-FOR ALL THOSE PLANNING ON FILMING, ALL OF THESE ZOMBIES SPILLING OUT OF THE TRAINS COULD BE ONE OF THE BEST SHOTS OF THE DAY, DON’T MISS IT!-

It’s comedy!! No one appreciates the humor in the irony of their own existence as much as the living dead!!

Free Show at 6pm for Zombies! Drink Specials and an ALL-STAR cast!!!!

Didn’t get a ticket for the 6pm show? Don’t fret my pet, there are shows at 8pm and 10pm as well!

..with so many Zombies downtown we would have to be optimistic to the point of foolishness to believe there will be enough brains around to satisfy everyone’s hunger

That said, Zini’s Pizzeria is offering discounted prices on delicious alternatives!! $2 off a large pizza if you bring in canned food and $3.50 for a Slice and Soda combo!!

1. Use the “haunted house” rule in that you are not to touch anyone.

2. Do not attempt to scare anyone who is not a willing participant. If anyone is freaking out, turn and shamble in the opposite direction. Avoid confrontations!

3. Stay on the sidewalk unless crossing the street. When crossing, it’s OK to “break character” and cross quickly. Think fast “New Dawn of the Dead” zombies verses the slower “Old Dawn of the Dead” zombies when crossing the street. Blocking traffic is a crime and anyone doing so could be arrested.

4. No littering, destruction of property, or any other illegal activity. Pretend the Deep Ellum is your own neighborhood and show the utmost respect. Remember, the media will be watching us and this event could get world wide news coverage. Let’s put on a good show.

Keep in mind you might be asked for a picture ID at the bars and your zombie face might not match your picture ID. If you are refused entry, please understand the doorman is only doing his job.

Please do not attempt to push your way into any business if you are not welcome.
